- Small candles: Burn for 20–30 hours
- Medium candles: Burn for 50–60 hours
- Large candles: Burn for up to 90 hours
You can estimate a candle's burn time by using the "hours per ounce" method. For example, if a soy candle weighs 8 ounces and soy wax typically burns for 7 hours per ounce, the candle's burn time would be 56 hours.
Other factors that can affect a candle's burn time include:
- The type of wax used
- The number of wicks
- Air movement in the environment
- The amount of oxygen available
- The surrounding temperature
- The material of the wick
Soy candles typically last longer than paraffin candles of the same size because soy wax burns more slowly and at a cooler temperature.

- Keep the candle free of matches, wick trimmings, and other debris
